Bobby Ward
Founder & CEO
Hey people,
I’ve been working in the industry for over 15 years now so I suppose I’m somewhat of a veteran. I started my journey back in 2007 as the most ambitious tea boy in the city, reading The FT newspaper as if I could make sense of it all… but soon enough I got the gist of it and by 2010 I was running a trading desk.
After five years at one of the fastest growing FX companies, I had an opportunity come up that my entrepreneurial spirit couldn’t pass, and that was to setup an LED lighting company. Random right? Yes, but I was always looking for that next big idea and when I discovered LED technology, it was hardly known about in the UK so I thought I would be an overnight millionaire… I wasn’t. Turned out I was too early for the UK market and subsequently Swap 2 LED ran out of money within 10 months!
So what did I do? I went back to what I know best, FX. And since then, I’ve been a co-owner of what is now named Vorto Trading. Even though I’ve been in the space for a long time now, I still get a real buzz from trading clients and growing this awesome business.
Over the past several years, I’ve transformed from being your typical city broker to someone who practises yoga and meditation. I dropped all my material desires and have rerouted that focus on building organisations that will contribute to a better tomorrow.
Aside from work, I love to go out on hikes, play sport, read books, learn new things, and socialise with friends. Although most of my spare time is spent with my fiancé and our two beautiful daughters (Bee & Truly).

Terry Everson

Hi readers,
This is my 50th year working in the City encompassing many regulatory positions such as CEO, MLRO/Head of Compliance, Dealing Director, Finance Officer and Head of Operations in industry sectors covering Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Financials and Fund Management.
One of my major attributes is networking and I enjoy passing on knowledge to my younger colleagues and participating in office banter.
My favourite pastimes include playing tennis and skiing (lucky enough to have skied in Aspen, Gstaad and St.Moritz) – hopefully a few more ski trips still in me.
In 2005 I trekked through the Inca trail in the Andes to raise money for Maggies Cancer Care.
I have 2 children James (the doctor) and Charlotte (the accountant) and a granddaughter called Sofia.

My name is Danny and if you didn’t guess already, I’m Bobby’s brother.
Since 2016, I have embarked on an exciting journey in the deliverable FX space, immersing myself in all facets of this dynamic industry. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for providing exceptional service, I have had the privilege of working in various sectors, ranging from sales to operations, and have now progressed to the position of Director.
With a friendly demeanour, a creative mindset, and a dedication to excellence, I am committed to navigating the ever-changing landscape of the deliverable FX space.
In my spare time I love to go skiing and travel the world to experience different cultures! I am a big fan of Formula 1 and American Football. I have been involved in sport since I was a young boy and my love for it has only got stronger over the years!
Aside from sport I enjoy meditating, working on my personal development and spending time with friends.

Hi,
Prior to joining Vorto, I worked at Sinochem for 11 years (a leading Chinese conglomerate). I am also an active member at China Chamber of Commerce in the UK and established extensive network with UK based Chinese corporation and intermediaries.
I have successfully assisted numerous multi-national companies and individual clients in establishing and expanding their business in the UK.
I have also worked closely with the UK and Chinese authorities, being involved in numerous cross-border transactions and assisted on both inbound and outbound investment projects relating to the Far East.
My mother’s tongue is Mandarin, but I also speak fluent English. If you have any cross-border requirements within the Asia region, please feel free get in contact!

Hi there,
I’m Katie, (Bobby’s elder sister). Firstly, I’d like to say it’s a great honour to be working for Vorto. I’ve watched Bobby grow the business over the years and I’m extremely proud to be a part of it.
I’m here to help Bobby, take some of the admin workload and daily management of the company.
It wasn’t until I was asked to write a bio that I realised I’m pretty boring 😂
I’m a typical Virgo that likes to be organised and efficient as possible! I’m a mum to 3 (soon to be 4 children) that keeps me young! I also have two french bulldogs that I love walking through the countryside. I enjoy meditating and currently educating myself in homeopathy.
The company’s ethos strives us all to be our best in personal growth and wellness. Working with the Vorto team is a great pleasure and a positive place to be.
George Regan

Hi there,
I’m George, I haven’t been in FX space that long, nor did I think I would end up here, but my path has been different to most people in the industry. I’ve always been driven, keen to learn new things and open minded.
When I met Bobby, Danny and the Vorto team I knew this was a great opportunity to get my teeth stuck into something new.
I have been on this journey since 2022 and I have grown so much in short space of time. One of the reasons is that Vorto pays for all of us to have individual sessions with a qualified performance coach. It’s such a breath of fresh air to be in a company like this.
In my downtime, I would say I am somewhat of an entertainment junkie, whether it is sports such as football, American football, baseball, basketball to movies, books and TV shows. I like to fill my brain with as much information as I can consume.
As well as that, I love to be outdoors! In 2019 I decided that I wanted to use my love for Skiing and become a fully qualified ski instructor, so I took myself to Canada for 7 months and did exactly that!

Hi there,
Before joining the Vorto team, I setup my own venture at 12 years old selling limited edition trainers. I have always had a passion for marketing so when the opportunity to be Vorto’s HoM arised, I jumped in without hesitating.
How did I get the role at Vorto? Funny story, we was at the Vorto Christmas party and some of our top affiliates was invited; along with family and staff. An affiliate made a joke to Bobby and asked “why isn’t your nephew on the payroll?” Bobby replied “good point” and gave me the opportunity (I still had to interview though haha)!
Apart from marketing, I have a passion for collecting sneakers and keeping up with the latest releases… I’ve even been one of those guys that camps outside the store overnight to secure a pair! I also enjoy a casual round of golf with friends and family and play football occasionally.

Beyond work, you can find me at Reformer Pilates or in a breathwork session for some zen. I’m a foodie who enjoys creating organic culinary masterpieces with my husband. Our 2 little but lively dogs keep us on our toes. I’m also into arts & crafts, meditation, reading, and personal growth. Life is all about balance!

Osman Tary

Hi there,
My name is Osman, but everyone knows me as Ossie and I had the fortune of joining Vorto in October 2023. After meeting Bobby and understanding his vision for the company and its values, I knew this was the right company for me. As a result, Vorto has given me the amazing opportunity to work from their Dubai office to help expand Vorto’s footprint even further.
Aside from work, I’m a keen martial artist and have been training for the last 10+ years in traditional Shaolin Kung Fu and Sanda (Chinese Kickboxing). Some of my biggest achievements to date consist of representing Team GB, 40+ UK National Championships and European Championship titles, and training in the Shaolin Temple which is the birthplace of Shaolin Kung Fu in Henan, China.
Aside from work and training, I love spending time with my family and trying new restaurants with friends. If I’m not out eating, you’ll find me brushing up on my newly taken-up passions of golf and tennis.

My name is Finlay and I am one of the most recent Vorto recruits. I was introduced to Bobby and the opportunity of working at Vorto in late August 2023 and I instantly knew it would suit me, so by the start of September 2023 I joined the team, I am excited and motivated to learn and gain experience in this industry.
I live in Portugal and have studied at Portuguese schools my entire life, therefore I speak fluent Portuguese as well as English. When I’m not working, I like spending time with my family and friends, I love to travel and have hopes of travelling the world one day, I have played and watched various sports my entire life, but my great passion is football.
